A day Sailing.

We spent our last full day on Maui on a beautiful sailing vessel. Enjoyed a sunrise ride over to Molokini crater for snorkeling and Dave dove. After the crater we ventured over to another great spot to snorkel with sea turtles and saw a school of dolphins! After all the great snorkeling we played around in the crystal blue ocean. The crew served a delicious lunch and then put the sails up and sailed back to the harbor. This was the perfect end to our vacation.

What a wonderful day on Maui !

What a wonderful day in paradise! We spent the day driving the coast of North Maui. As we were driving we came along a great cove that had some awesome coral reefs for snorkeling. The highlight to my trip on Maui has to be Olivine Pools. This place was outrageous! We had to climb down a large lava cliff to find the lava swimming pools embedded in a huge lava shelf. As you are swimming in beautiful pools the ocean is just pounding down on all three sides. Dave was taking a picture of us three when a huge wave came crashing in as you can tell it soaked us. It was so breathtaking. On the drive back we stopped at a turn off to take in the view and as we where looking we all spotted a large school of dolphin jumping around in the ocean. Leah got to see dolphins YEA!

Lazy day in Maui

Today we headed up the road to eat breakfast at a little place called Gazebo. We had some mouth watering banana, pineapple, mac nut pancakes. While we were waiting for a table Leah and I walked down to some tide pools and did some exploring. We returned to the hotel to enjoy the day at the beach and pool. Watched yet another beautiful sunset as we ate dinner. The big piece of pie is called a Hula pie this is the second time Max and Leah enjoyed this ice cream pie! Dave enjoyed a glass of Shipwreck stout from Maui Brewing Co. We are all really enjoying our vacation!

Surfing 101

What a day for Max! Max wanted to take surfing lessons. What a delight it was for Dave and I to watch Max. He's a natural at surfing and seems to be hooked. Max has been begging us to take more lessons or just to rent surf board so he could hit some waves! I was so fun for Dave and I to watch Max try surfing!

Snorkeling on Maui's South Side.

Today, we drove to South Maui to try some great snorkeling spots. The snorkeling spot you see Dave, Max, and Leah is called Five Graves. We saw several big see turtles along with some beautiful fish. After snorkeling we stopped at a road side stand for some awesome fish tacos. Boy they were good! For the rest of the afternoon we spent time at Big Beach which is considered to be the beach on Maui. It was beautiful and the water crystal clear. We again enjoyed a great dinner and strolled the along the beach as we watch the sunset. Gorgeous!
